Our last regular season tournament
on Lake St Clair was more a test of survival than fishing skills. We’ve had
a pretty good year as far as weather during our tournaments go but all that
came to an end for this tournament. Everyone came through with flying colors
and there were no reports of anyone breaking down or tearing up their boats
so that’s a testament to everyone’s ability to operate in rough conditions.
Fish were in their fall transition and were in the process of moving from
the rivers back to the lakes. The best concentrations of fish were at the
ends of the channels. Winning bags were caught on tubes, drop shot, and
spinner baits.
